The round tower was next to the round tower of the city of Andernach the strongest defensive tower of the city fortifications of the region and was built in the middle of the 14th century.

Martinskirche, also known as the Church of St. Martin or the White Church, overlooks the entire town from it’s high hilltop location.  It dates to 1350 and currently they are working on the tower.  You can see the scaffolding in place.

The Haags Tower in Oberwesel is part of the city fortifications and was acquired and restored in 1865 by the painter Carl Haag. The tower has been owned by the Höhn family since 1997, who use it as a living and art space.
