In 1898 the Austrian Empress Elisabeth 'Sissi' is stabbed to death by an anarchist soon after she left hotel Beau-Rivage in Genève. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of this assassination, Beau-Rivage and the association Sissi had erected this statue near the hotel.

The Pâquis lighthouse is a lighthouse located on Lake Geneva , at the mouth of the harbor of Geneva .
The Parc La Grange hosts very old and tall trees, Geneva's biggest rose garden, orangeries and an 18th-century villa. Also two theaters, a playground as well as a paddling pool for the children are found there.
The Parc des Eaux Vives is situated at the Quai Gustave-Ador in Geneva, right next at the Parc La Grange. It is a sloping hillside park topped by a historic mansion dating back to the 18th century, that now serves as a hotel and restaurant.

The United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) hosts numerous UN agencies, programs, and specialized entities such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Labour Organization (ILO), and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Broken Chair monument symbolizes opposition to land mines and cluster bombs and acts as a reminder to politicians visiting Geneva.

This tapestry is called “the Temple of Heaven” and was presented by China to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development for its 20th anniversary. The Temple of Heaven stands in Beijing, and used to be visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer for good harvest. No matter from which direction you look at it, the stairs of the Temple are always facing you.

Old Town Geneva is the historic heart of the city. It is a charming area with narrow streets, picturesque squares, and beautiful old buildings. The main attractions in Old Town Geneva include St. Peter's Cathedral, Maison Tavel (the oldest house in Geneva), the Arsenal, and the Maison Rousseau.

Flag of Geneva. The eagle symbolises loftiness, justice and protection. The key symbolises ecclesiastical rule, treasuries, and responsibility. The arms of Geneva are actually two shields impaled: half the eagle of the Holy Roman Empire, and one of the two keys of St. Peter (the "keys of heaven").

L'ancien Arsenal. The ancient arsenal was a granary built in the 17th century and later used as a military storehouse until 1877. The five cannons exhibited under the archways were still in use at the turn of the 19th century. The pillared building and its cobbled floor now houses the Geneva State Archives. On the walls you can admire three beautiful frescoes, the work of Alexandre Cingria, depicting key periods in Geneva’s history.
